How would this attach to a winch drum?

Thanks for the question!
For a model with a hole in the drum, the terminal would need to be cut off to allow the rope to pass through and be secured with the grub screw.
alternatively, the termial can be used to secure the rope to the drum, or It may need the installed end loop to be removed and another fitted
