How to Estimate Power Usage
To get an idea of how long a device can run on a Portable Power Station, you can use a simple calculation. Please note, this is only an estimate, as real-world usage can vary based on efficiency and other factors.
Examples:
|
Power Station Capacity |
Device Power Usage |
Estimated Run Time |
|---|---|---|
|
1200Wh |
400W |
1200 ÷ 400 = 3 hours |
|
1000Wh |
250W |
1000 ÷ 250 = 4 hours |
|
500Wh |
100W |
500 ÷ 100 = 5 hours |
Keep in mind:
- This is a rough estimate - actual performance may be shorter or longer depending on real usage conditions.
- Ensure your device power usage is below the max rated watts the power station can ouput.
- Always allow some buffer in your calculations to account for energy loss or variations in power draw.
- Some Power Stations can use Expansion Batteries to extend their capacity.
